This is a new frontier for Hedding UMC. We’ve been doing Outreach Ministry for a long time and we’re pretty good at it. Now we’re expanding into Justice Ministry. 

Think of it like this: Outreach Ministry is trying to help people get out of the river where they are drowning. Justice Ministry is going upstream to figure out why they keep falling in and working to build protections (systems) to keep them from falling in to begin with.

Our Social Action Team is leading the way for us and we hope to create a Creation Care/Green Team soon, too!
