Hedding United Methodist Church in Barre VT is a church dedicated to serving and being in community with the poor. Free community dinners are every Friday night, doors open at 4:30 and food is served at 5:30; great food, great music, great company! Our food shelf is open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 – 4:30 and on Fridays from 5:00 – 6:30. Our Outreach Coordinator, Phyllis Azotea, helps people with clothing vouchers, utility and rent check supplements, as well as other support for folks experiencing difficult financial situations. We provide housing and assistance for homeless families. On Sunday mornings Pastor Rae leads us in worship, asking God to guide us and bless our ministries – always remembering that we don’t simply go to church, we ARE the church.
